Following the trend of ridding of our beloved and regularly sized cars, Toyota announces its new SUV. The Yaris Cross. Poised to arrive between towards 2021, the new car intends to become the new flagship in affordable mobility.
With a base 3-cyl engine of 1.5l and a hybrid option, the new Yaris continues the electrification of Toyota’s product line. Adopting the all-new hybrid system and the TNGA platform for compact cars, it offers a higher dimension of basic and environmental performance. Also, the vehicle achieves an easy-to-handle body size while providing SUV-like interior comfort and luggage room. The exterior design, though simple, expresses the robustness of an SUV. The interior design is also shaped to give it a feeling of higher quality and comfort.
The new vehicle follows last year’s debut of the all-new Yaris, unveiled in October 2019 as the next-generation compact car. Enhanced driving pleasure, the world’s highest level of fuel efficiency for its class and advanced safety and security technologies are sure to make the upcoming model an instant success.
Approaching 9 million units since the launch in 1999, the Yaris is the most sold car in the company’s line-up. With the new Yaris Cross Toyota expects to redefine the urban-mobility concept. Interior Model dimensions stand at 4.18m long and 1.77m wide and with a wheelbase of 2.56m.
Prices, detailed specs and delivery dates are yet to be defined.
