Entry level hybrid for daily use. And family use.
It is very hard to talk about this car without putting my interest and emotions into a news piece. Because I am so excited about this car it’s just difficult to remain calm, collected and serene.
DS, the premium brand from PSA group has unveiled the latest addition to their DS-7 Crossback. And it is the DS 7 Crossback E-Tense 225. Essentially a 225 Bhp of combined hybrid power, plug-in capabilities and space for a family.
At the start up, the car moves on electric power. And it will continue to do so up to 120 KPH and for up to 60 km. Zero emissions. And more than the average daily one-way commute. Using the combined package, fuel efficiency may be as low as 5.3l/100Km.
Battery, 13.2 kWh of it, is charged on the go, or through a 7kW wall charger, which takes less than 2 hours to reach 100%. All in all, a package grounded in reason, logic, utility and practicality.
Other amenities, interior gadgets and the like do not change from existing models, so I will not dwell on it.
Prices are yet to be published but, what a car…
